Wellness Labs

Vitality Wellness Labs, a division of Vitality Natural Health and Wellness Center, is a cash-based lab clinic that offers the most common blood labs and even specialized lab testing to meet your health and wellness needs at affordable prices.
With a 2–3 day turn-around time, we quickly send clients’ results directly to them via a HIPPA-compliant email. Clients can then share their lab results with their health care professional.
Click here for a menu of services of the most common lab panels we offer. Please note that only the most common tests are listed on this menu, but far more are available upon request.
Our lab operates on a flexible schedule that suits everyone’s needs with appointment scheduling and “walk-in” time frames. Our phlebotomy team has over 50 years of combined experience and is eager to make your visit as fast and easy as possible.
As a reminder, labs are cash-based so we do not handle any insurance coverage. However, we are able to provide clients with an itemized receipt that includes a procedure and wellness diagnostic code that they can submit to their insurance company on their own for possible reimbursement. Please note that this service is available only at our Meadville, PA and Grove City, PA (by appointment) locations.
FUNCTIONAL BLOOD CHEMISTY ANALYSIS – Your Path to Optimal Health
Wouldn’t it be nice if your blood tests could tell you more? Perhaps more about possible underlying dysfunctions or deficiencies. Well, the good news is, they can!
Blood has a lot to tell us about our health and the blood chemistry (CMP or BMP) and CBC (complete blood count) are the most commonly ordered medical tests worldwide. These blood tests are an integral part of Western clinical medicine and are used to aid in the diagnosis of many conditions.
“Normal” is not Optimal
Many people start to feel unwell long before traditional blood tests become diagnostic and many times, people are told by their healthcare provider that “everything on your blood tests look normal.” But, this clearly does not answer the question of why you do not feel well. Many patients who feel “unwell” will come out “normal” on blood tests. Clinical experience suggests that these patients are by no means “normal” and are far from being functionally optimal. They may not yet have progressed to a known disease state but are instead what we refer to as “dysfunction” – meaning that their physiological systems are no longer functioning properly and they start to feel un-well.
The Functional Approach
The functional approach to blood chemistry and CBC analysis is oriented around changes in physiology (how the functions) and not pathology (cause and effect of disease). We look at ranges that are based on optimal physiology and not the “normal” population. This results in a narrower “functional physiological range,” which allows us to evaluate the area within the “normal” range that indicates that something is not quite right in the physiological systems associated with a particular biomarker. This gives us the ability to detect patients with changes in physiological “function”. We can identify the factors that obstruct the patient from achieving optimal physiological, biochemical, and metabolic functioning in their body.
Another thing that separates Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis from a traditional approach is that we are not simply looking at one individual biomarker at a time in a linear report of the data. Rather, we use trend analysis between the individual biomarkers to establish the client’s otherwise hidden trend towards or away from a functional optimal health.
The Program
The functional blood chemistry software that we utilize uses powerful, proprietary algorithms, logic and commentary to analyze blood chemistry and CBC (complete blood count) screens and reveal the state of Functional Wellness and deficiencies in the major systems of the body. Patterns are analyzed, the state of wellness in Functional systems are revealed, and personalized healthcare recommendations are suggested to correct underlying physiological imbalances and reduce long-term health risks.
How It Works (It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3!)
- We can use the results of blood testing that you have had done through your primary care provider or labs that we offer through our cash-based lab services. Most practitioners routinely order a CBC (complete blood count), CMP (comprehensive metabolic panel) or BMP (basic metabolic panel), and lipid panel for their patients. If you have not had any recent lab testing done, do not have a primary care provider, or do not have medical insurance, we can order a comprehensive panel for you through our office.
- Your lab results are entered into our Functional Blood Chemistry Software Program.
- Your results are processed and a 35+ page Functional Blood Chemistry Report based on your results is generated specifically for YOU! This report will be emailed directly to you!
Why YOU Should Do a Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis
Blood testing is no longer simply a part of disease or injury management. It’s a VITAL component of a comprehensive Functional Medicine work-up and plays a vital role in uncovering hidden health trends, comprehensive health promotion and disease prevention.
